Mobile App Development

I joined the team behind a mobile app focused on improving food traceability using blockchain technology. The project had been moving a bit slowly, so my role was to help bring momentum to the development of the app and make sure progress kept moving forward.

During my time there, I worked primarily in React Native, building out new features, fixing long-standing bugs, and improving parts of the codebase that needed some cleanup. While I wasn’t involved in the backend, I worked closely with the product owner and backend developers to make sure everything came together smoothly. I also contributed to the user flow and design of new features using the existing component system.

It was my first time working with GraphQL and deploying apps through Expo, both of which came with a bit of a learning curve. But those challenges ended up being a big part of the experience — I got hands-on with tools I hadn’t worked with before and picked up a lot along the way.
